After the morning’s intense rain, traffic is being rerouted off of Dubai’s Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Road.
The announcement for UAE Weather Dubai was made on X by Dubai Police.
“Due to the recent weather conditions including heavy rainfall and water accumulation, traffic flow on Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Road has been diverted from the City Centre Mirdif Bridge towards Tripoli Street,” said the statement.

Even though the authorities advised people to stay indoors due to the unpredictable weather, some residents were spotted leaving their homes with their umbrellas.

The National Centre of Meteorology has stated that the weather will remain unpredictable today. Convective clouds are expected to form over a few different regions of the nation, so it will be cloudy.
There will be occasional strong gusts of moderate to fresh winds, and clouds will cause sand and dust to blow, decreasing horizontal visibility. Thunder and lightning will be present, along with varying degrees of rainfall.
The nation may experience temperatures as high as 33ºC. It is predicted that the temperature will rise to 24ºC in Abu Dhabi and 23ºC in Dubai.
However, today is expected to bring with it a drop in temperature of Uae Weather Dubai, with lows of up to 20°C expected in Abu Dhabi, 19°C in Dubai, and 10°C in mountainous areas.
Overnight and Sunday morning will be humid, with a chance of mist or fog forming in some western areas. The percentages in Abu Dhabi and Dubai will vary from 45 to 90%.
Dubai MoHRE Issued Alert after Heavy Rain
Dubai: The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization (MoHRE) announced on Friday that all private sector businesses must exercise appropriate caution given the unusual weather in the United Arab Emirates and after consulting with the appropriate authorities.
“We urge all private sector companies to take caution and necessary measures to maintain the safety of its workers during the period of weather fluctuations,” it said in a circular.
“We urge private sector companies to apply remote work for those whose nature of work allows it, as well as comply with the directives issued by the relevant local authorities in each emirate regarding the exceptional weather conditions and their impact on business,” it added.
