(HRNW) Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif stated that Pakistan will continue to strongly support global efforts for peace and stability while also protecting national security and independence, according to media reports. 

Addressing an Iftar dinner hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in honor of foreign corps participants, the prime minister stated, “As a friendship-loving nation, Pakistan desires peace with all and enmity with none.”

PM Shehbaz reaffirmed that his administration will maintain the principles established by the nation’s founding fathers. The  PM went on to emphasize that the constitution guarantees equal rights to all Pakistani citizens, without discrimination. 

He also outlined the government’s aims, stating that following the outcome of peaceful presidential elections, the growth and well-being of Pakistanis is the government’s main priority. 

PM Shehbaz also emphasized Pakistan’s unwavering support for Palestinians’ rightful and inalienable right to self-determination, emphasizing the importance of making genuine efforts to swiftly implement a recently voted United Nations Security Council resolution for a cease-fire. 

He stated that Pakistan reiterated its backing for worldwide attempts to achieve an early ceasefire because Pakistan desires peace with all.

The prime minister stated that the holy month of Ramadan represents more than fasting and conveys an idea of sacrifice, discipline, and loving hospitality.
