According to oil industry forecasts, the fuel price would likely rise to Pakistani rupee (PKR) 289.69 per litre in the next fortnightly review, up from the present price of PKR 279.75.
Apart from that, the kerosene price is likely to fall by PKR 0.17 per liter to PKR 188.49 per litre from the current price of PKR 188.66 per litre. Similarly, the price of light diesel oil (LDO) is expected to rise by PKR 0.45 per liter, to PKR 168.63, from the current price of PKR 168.18 per litre.
“The regional price of petrol will be increased due to a hike in prices in the global market,” a government official stated. “The global price of petrol rose to $95 per gallon in the past two weeks, as opposed to $90 per gallon in the first week of March.”

Increase in rates According to Geo News, the reduction in global crude prices will result in a price decrease for domestic consumers by more than one rupee.
They also stated that the local pricing of petroleum items will not be greatly affected because the exchange rate has remained relatively stable over the last four weeks.
Meanwhile, Geo News stated that the price of high-speed diesel (HSD) is expected to fall by PKR 1.30 per liter to PKR 284.26 from the current price of PKR 285.86 per litre.

However, when the global price of HSD falls, so will the price in Pakistan. The price of HSD has decreased to $98 per barrel globally in recent weeks, down from $99 per barrel in the first 15 days of March.
