Headline: PIA Air Hostess Hina Sani Arrested, discovered in control of passports belonging to allegedly unconnected people while on board flight PK-789 to Toronto.
An air hostess on a Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight from Lahore to Toronto was detained at Toronto International Airport after passports belonging to people reportedly unrelated to her were found.
According to sources, the arrested air hostess, Hina Sani, was discovered in control of passports belonging to allegedly unconnected people while on board flight PK-789 to Toronto.
Insiders say the air hostess’s behavior has aroused issues before. She had already issued a warning for allegedly bringing contraband into Canada.
It has also been revealed that the detained flight attendant is a relative of a well-known Pakistani musician and a social media model herself. Her involvement in such an incident has attracted great interest and casts suspicion on the circumstances surrounding her arrest.
Furthermore, it has been revealed that Hina Sani had been accompanied by seven additional flight attendants on aircraft PK 789, all of whom were branded “no-flyers” by the airline for Toronto.
PIA Air Hostess Arrested in Toronto for Alleged Holding Unrelated Passports
A (PIA) female flight hostess deployed to a Canada-bound flight was detained at Pearson International Airport in Toronto after many passports were discovered in her possession.
According to the sources, the crew obtained special permission from Flight Services’ deputy general manager (DGM) to use his own ID, which deviates from standard procedure. This raises more doubts about the events preceding the catastrophe.
Following the detention, Canadian authorities interviewed the flight’s last two air hostesses. After the interrogation, they were permitted to return to their hotel.
Taking other people’s passports while traveling is an international crime.
Abdullah Khan, a PIA spokesman, said that they were aware of the situation and were in contact with Canadian authorities to comply. “Full assistance will be provided to Canadian leaders, and any legal action advised will be implemented,” the spokeswoman added.
PIA Air Hostess goes missing while on duty in Canada
This isn’t the initial occasion that a PIA Air Hostess has been on the radar of Canadian authorities; late last month, an air hostess from the national flag carrier went missing while on duty in Canada.
Maryam Raza, who served on airplane PK-782 from Pakistan to Canada, refused to arrive for duty on the return flight, PK-784 from Toronto to Karachi, revealing the incident. According to individuals familiar with the incident, during the investigation, a message expressing gratitude to PIA was discovered with her hanging uniform in her chamber, reading “Thank you, PIA.”
Previously, in January, the first PIA Air Hostess for 2024 was reported missing in Canada, after air hostess Faiza Mukhtar, assigned to flight PK-781 from Islamabad to Toronto, Canada, allegedly slipped. She was scheduled to work on Flight 784 from Toronto to Karachi.
The PIA added that the event came to their knowledge after Faiza Mukhtar, 40, allegedly failed to report with the crew for the return flight. According to accounts, she has abandoned her four-year-old son.
According to a PIA spokeswoman, departmental disciplinary action has been initiated against Mukhtar because flight hostess affidavits were available with the national carrier, and the FIA will be brought into action.
Conclusion
These events involving PIA air hostesses have harmed Pakistan’s worldwide reputation, creating questions about airline security and employee honesty. Such incidences reflect negatively on the national carrier and weaken faith in Pakistan’s aviation sector, necessitating strong efforts to resolve and prevent similar incidents in the future.
