The Upcoming Sci-fi Epic “3 Body Problem”

Liu Cixin’s best-selling science fiction trilogy, “The 3 Body Problem” will soon be adapted by Netflix into a new series. It looks to be a visually spectacular story that will bring the novels’ surreal notions to life, based on early teases.

• The narrative takes place between China’s Cultural Revolution in the 1960s and the 1990s. It centres on a number of persons who come across enigmatic incidents and an increasing danger to humanity.
• The ensemble, which is based in China, the US, and other countries, is led by Jess Hong as physicist Ye Wenjie and also features Benedict Wong, Liam Cunningham, Eiza González, and Jovan Adepo.
• Showrunner Alex Woo is joined as executive producers by David Benioff and D.B. Weiss. Their participation is encouraging for a proper translation of Liu Cixin’s intricate tale.

Reviewers have praised the creative themes and enormous scope. Beautiful alien planets were also accomplished. Some observers point out that viewers who are not familiar with the books may find the intricate plot challenging. However, the quality of the entire season is yet unknown having just seen a few episodes thus far.
