Pakistan Senate Elections 2024. There are now 28 contenders vying for the 12 available seats in the Punjab Senate elections; the deadline for submitting nomination papers has passed.
Of these, seventeen have filed applications for the seven general seats.
The schedule for the April 2 Senate elections for Balochistan’s 11 seats has been released by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), according to ARY News.
As stated in the schedule, candidates for Pakistan Senate Elections 2024 may put in their nomination documents to the Returning Officer (RO) on March 15 and 16. The RO’s review of nomination papers will begin on March 17 and end on March 19, after which the preliminary list of nominees will be made public, according to ARY News.

Prominent individuals including Mohsin Naqvi and Talal Chaudhry are among those who submitted nomination papers for the general seats. Hamid Khan, Parvez Rasheed, Waseem Shahzad, Ahad Cheema, Ijaz Minhas, Waleed Iqbal, and Muhammad Aurangzeb have also entered the race for general seats.
By March 19, 2024, the nomination documents for Pakistan Senate Elections 2024 will have been thoroughly examined. Until March 21, 2024, appeals against the acceptance or rejection of nomination papers may be lodged. The tribunal will render decisions on appeals through March 25, 2024. On the other hand, voting will take place on April 2, 2024, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Punjab Assembly Hall in Lahore.
