Southern California Rain Storm

Headline: Southern California Rain Storm brings heavy rain, disrupting Easter weekend plans.

Southern California Rain Storm during the Easter weekend is dumping inches of rain. The storm may not only interfere with outdoor plans, but it is also likely to make travel problematic.

A slow-moving and powerful storm is grabbing Pacific Ocean moisture and flinging it at Southern California in the form of multiple rounds of heavy rain and gusty thunderstorms through Easter Sunday, and AccuWeather meteorologists warn that sufficient rain will fall to increase the chance of flash flooding, landslides, and other types of debris flows.

Southern California Rain storm will Range from 1-2 inches in Los Angeles and San Diego

Rainfall will range from 1-2 inches in Los Angeles and San Diego on Sunday. Much of that rain could fall in bursts lasting up to a few hours, quickly running off and collecting on roadways and low-lying areas along highways.

Southern California Rain Storm

Southern California Rain Storm may cause rain delays and postponements for Major League Baseball games in Los Angeles and San Diego this weekend.

Forecasters advise motorists to leave extra time and be ready to take an alternate route if necessary.

For how many hours southern California rainstorm will continue on Sunday?

Scattered showers and thunderstorms will occur overnight and into Sunday morning. There is going to be instability behind the cold front, resulting in torrential downpours, strong gusts, hail, and maybe tornadic conditions.

Moderate to heavy rain is forecast in the foothills. Snow will fall in mountain communities.

More rain is expected to fall on Sunday afternoon and remain consistent. There may be some breaks in the rain this evening.

By the afternoon of Monday, there will be some scattered showers.

When does rain stop pouring in Southern California?

The storm system will clear the area by Monday night, and the region will begin to dry up by Tuesday.

Southern California Rain Storm: bringing hail and strong wind gusts

Southern California Rain Storm will also hit sections of California, with some of the most powerful storms bringing hail and significant wind gusts. The storm system could cause a few waterspouts along the shore. Rain will also fall to the east of the Coast Ranges and onto the deserts of Southern California.

Strong winds along the coast will cause big waves, pounding surf, and the possibility of overwash on the beaches. However, because the waves will be smaller than those caused by several storms last winter, coastal flooding may be less severe.

In the Southern California mountains, only rain is forecast on the key passes, including Interstates 5 and 15. However, the ridges and peaks are likely to receive a foot or two of snow from the storm.

What will the climate look like in Los Angeles and Orange County?

Thunderstorms and hail are possible on Sunday in Los Angeles and Orange counties. The storm could drop up to 2 inches of rain in downtown Los Angeles. The high will be 62 degrees, and the low will be 50. Monday is anticipated to be partly sunny.

Thunderstorms are possible with the air river, which could result in localized heavy rain above the 2 inches predicted.

Conclusion

The Southern California monsoon presents substantial concerns, including excessive rainfall, probable floods, and delays to outdoor activities and travel plans during Easter weekend. Residents should keep informed and take appropriate actions to guarantee their safety throughout this extreme weather event.
